Oppladning til Oslo Open begynner i dag
Jeg skal på besøk til min gode venn Pål Bakken i dag for å begynne forberedelsene til Oslo Open, som spilles 15. november. Etter helgens begredelige innsats har jeg bestemt meg for å spille meg opp skikkelig og forsøke å gjøre en bedre figur enn sist helg. Følg med for formrapporter!

Valgerd er blitt avbildet smilende på Svinesund med en vogn med noe mat i. Å, Gud. Hvilken skandale! En politiker handler på den andre siden av grensa! Er dette begrensningen for norsk media? Er vi blitt så ynkelige at dette er store nyheter? Jeg har ikke større sympati for Valgerd enn de fleste andre, men det får da være grenser for hva slags skit som havner i avisene!

**General William Boykin has reached our shores with his views of the wars waged by the Chimp being religious wars. I'm impressed that the crazy guy on the street corner was allowed to rise to the prominence of general! The US really is the land of the free, heh...
**Hooray, the absurdity column is back! 29-year old convict escaped having to serve his time in prison as the court found him being grounded by his mother was punishment hard enough. The 29-year old has been sent down twice before, too, and is a known felon and drug addict. However, being forced to spend some quality time with mom was viewed as being punishment bad enough for him. He-he. Incredible...
**6 year old girl got an asthmatic attack at school on grounds of the school being severly dirty. Evidently not feeling the inkling of embarrasment holding their tongues, school authorities then proceeded to request that the parents themselves clean the school if they thought it was dirty. Absolutely disgraceful.
**The PM is having trouble keeping his government together. Now he's talking about sacking some of'em, which usually indicates the imminent resignation of the government as a whole.
**Record spendings on anti terror police in Oslo. A combined total of 230 million kroner ($28m) will be spent on anti terror and security in Oslo this year, a massive increase on earlier years. Apart from the royal family, the majority will probably be spent on the Israeli and American embassies, both heavily guarded at all hours. Why should we pay for their security? Make the israelis and Americans elect decent governments, and no-one would have the need for security. I say kick'em out.
**For those interested in ice hockey, here's a news item for you. Champions Vålerenga are struggling to get going early doors in the season and already find themselves seven points off the pace. May it long last...
**North Koreans laugh at the latest American initiative to create stability on the Korean peninsula. Which is understandable, considering what Dubya has offered the Koreans. I feel decidedly uneasy over the fact that the most unstable conflict boiling around the world right now have two insane people on each side, both with their finger on the nuclear trigger.
What do you know, I have nothing sensible to report otherwise. Is it my life that's dull, or is it Norway? Who knows, probably a combination of the two. See you soon, cheerio!
