The great lie and the sheep in the auditorium, part I
In my first update for a while there is ample food for thought on the current situation in Iraq that might be of interest to more than me. Also included here are news items on Palestine and the occupation, among other things.
Democratic Underground today features a good and interesting article touching upon the new McCarthyism prevailing in American public life. On censorship, quenching of dissent and the application of distinctly undemocratic means Gore Vidal is an excellent source also. Norwegian readers may, for example, want to check out his excellent essay "The Enemy Within" (norwegian version here on the investigation and probe into the 9/11 disaster.
Everything certainly isn't what it appears to be, not least according to both Vidal, Chomsky and other famous dissidents that have investigated the 9/11 chaos further. Professional demolition experts have doubted the likelyhood of the towers collapsing in the manner they did. It's easier blaming bin Laden? Certainly, but have a look at this or this site first anyway. The truth isn't quite as discernable as they want you to believe. In fact, truth has become a contorted and concoct concept in the hands of the pathological extremists that govern the mightiest nation on the planet that most of the reporting, in fact, on recent wars and imperialistic campaigns such as the war in Afghanistan or Iraq, or the carnage that now unfolds in Iraq, has fallen to the depth of a mare guessing game whereby the actual reporting is determined by the individual journalist's personal subjugation to officiality. Why? Needless to say because without access to officiality, the journalist in question would be powerless to conduct any reporting at all.
This is true not only of the GWB-instigated bloodbath in the middle east, but to the highest degree also of the tragedy that preceded it. 9/1 is more than meets the eye. I'll be writing more on this topic in the coming weeks - watch this space.
